Great success for TMFS at Germany’s biggest nature film festival
July 2015: Terra Mater honoured with four awards at German NaturVision film festival.
This year, Terra Mater productions dominated the 14th NaturVision, Germany’s biggest nature film festival in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart. The jury gave four out of eleven awards to TMFS, including two main prizes.
‘Brazil – A natural History (EP 02: Wild Heart)’ was honoured with the German Wildlife Film Award, ‘Wild Canada (EP 04: Ice Edge)’ scored the NaturVision Camera Award. ‘Secrets of the Hive’ won as best biodiversity film the elegant glass figurine. It was the same production, which was also able to cop the NaturVision Youth Jury Award.

Feeling overwhelmed by this great success, CEO Walter Köhler thanked the jury, the audience and all of the co-producers and co-workers, whose contribution to these productions played a crucial role. “Those two main prizes confirm that we have taken the right path. Most of all, we appreciate the recognition from the youth. The fact that we were able to convince this challenging target group of our production quality let’s us look to the future with optimism.”
Half of the awards were given to Austrian productions, four to TMFS and one to colleagues at ORF-Universum.
